Gridiron Idle — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17.09.2026 Applies to: the mobile game Gridiron Idle for iOS and Android Operator: Gridiron Idle (“we”, “us”, “our”)

Gridiron Idle is published by Gridiron Idle. This policy explains what information is handled when you play the game, who else is involved, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.

The short version. Your game progress stays on your phone. We have no accounts and no servers that store your game. The game does show optional rewarded video ads, and the advertising technology used to do that collects some device and advertising information so it can work — that part is explained in full in section 5.

1. Information we collect

1.1 What we do not collect

We do not ask for, and the game does not have a way for you to give us:

The game has no text input fields at all, no chat, no messaging, no comments, and no way to upload or share content.

1.2 What stays on your device

To work, the game saves information only in its private storage on your device:

This information is not sent to us. Settings → Reset Save starts a new game. Uninstalling the game removes all of it from your device.

Your phone’s operating system may include app data in device backups that you control (for example iCloud backup on iPhone, or Android’s backup to your Google account). Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under your account and their privacy policies. We cannot see or access them.

1.3 Information collected by third-party services

The game includes third-party software that does transmit information off your device. This is described in sections 4 and 5.

We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to your game progress.

2. Notifications

The game can remind you about things happening in the game — for example that your offline earnings are full, or that a championship is within reach. These are local notifications: the game schedules them on your device itself. No server sends them, and no information is sent anywhere to create them.

3. Permissions the game requests

Permission Why Can you refuse?
Notifications Local game reminders (section 2) Yes — the game works fully without it
App Tracking Transparency (iOS only) To let the advertising service use your device’s advertising identifier to measure and personalise ads (section 5) Yes — you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you
Advertising ID access (Android) Same purpose as above Yes — you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings

The game does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, or location. It plays sound effects and music; it does not record audio.

4. Third-party services in the game

The game uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

Service Provider What it is used for
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) Google LLC Serving the optional rewarded video ads described in section 5
User Messaging Platform (UMP) Google LLC Asking for and recording your advertising privacy choices, including in regions that require consent
RevenueCat RevenueCat, Inc. Measuring advertising performance, including ad impressions and advertising revenue

We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or any other tracking service beyond the advertising technology described here.

5. Advertising and tracking

5.1 What kind of advertising the game shows

The game shows optional rewarded video ads only. You will only ever see an ad if you choose to tap a button that offers one — for example a temporary cash boost, or unlocking a new pitch. There are:

If you never tap an ad button, you will never see an ad.

5.2 What the advertising service collects

To serve, measure and pay for ads, Google Mobile Ads and RevenueCat may collect and process:

5.3 Tracking across other apps and websites

On iOS, the game asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier is used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not available for that purpose, and you will see non-personalised ads instead.

On Android, the advertising ID is available to the advertising service. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

Under the definitions used by Apple and Google, the processing described in this section counts as tracking on iOS and as sharing data with third parties on Google Play. We are describing it accurately rather than avoiding the label. You can limit it as set out in section 6.

5.4 What we receive

We receive aggregated advertising reports — totals such as how many ads were shown and how much revenue they generated. We do not receive information that identifies you, and we cannot look up an individual player.

6. Your choices and controls

What you want How to do it
Change your ad privacy choices In the game: Settings → Ad privacy choices. This opens Google’s consent form, where you can change or withdraw your choices for personalised advertising
Stop the game using your advertising identifier for tracking (iOS) Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Reset or delete your advertising ID (Android) Android Settings → Google → Ads
Stop local notifications In the game’s Settings, or in your phone’s settings
Delete everything the game stores on your device Settings → Reset Save, or simply uninstall the game
See what we have about you We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to look up

7. Children

Gridiron Idle is a game for a general audience. It is not directed at children, and it is not part of Apple’s Kids category or Google Play’s Designed for Families programme.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game has no accounts, no chat, no messaging, no content uploads, and no way for a child to give us information. The app’s store listings are rated for a general audience.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us at our email and we will help.

Because the game shows advertising, we recommend that parents review their device’s ad-personalisation settings, as described in section 6.

8. How long information is kept

9. International transfers

Google and RevenueCat are international companies and may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on the safeguards described in their own privacy policies. Because all game progress remains on your device, no game data is transferred internationally by us.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

We hold no personal information about you, so for most of these rights there is nothing on our side to act on. Requests about information held by the advertising services should be directed to the controls in section 6 or to those providers. You can still contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will help where we can.

California residents. We do not sell your personal information for money. The advertising technology described in section 5 may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising and as a “sale” under the CCPA/CPRA in the broadest reading of those terms. You can opt out using the controls in section 6, including the in-app Settings → Ad privacy choices. We do not knowingly collect or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at this address. If a change is significant — for example, if we ever add a new service that collects different information — we will say so clearly. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
